“Let’s Feud”: Max Jackson Calls Out Country’s Women
“All the country singer guys are feuding… Girls… I think we need to do it too.”

Max Jackson is stirring the pot and having a laugh while she’s at it.
In a tongue-in-cheek Instagram reel that dropped last night, Jackson playfully called on her fellow female country singers to start a feud. Not because there’s bad blood, but because the guys are doing it and it’s going viral.
“All the country singer guys are feuding,” she said. “Girls… I think we need to do it too.”
It’s a cheeky nod to the recent Zach Bryan vs. Gavin Adcock drama, which took over country music headlines last week. Fans watched the two American artists go head to head and while the feud may have been an overreaction, it definitely got people talking.
Jackson, who’s known for her powerhouse vocals and sharp wit just as much as her songwriting, clearly saw an opportunity for a bit of fun. “If there’s any country singer girls out there who hate the look of my face right now… or maybe have something to say about the way I sing?” she joked. “Let’s feud.”
Jackson’s fans and friends were quick to join in, flooding the comments with fake call-outs Missy Lancaster joked “ I’LL TAKE YOU ON DOLL! Are we using fists? Can we go for lunch after???”, Taylor Moss had a crack saying “I hate that you’re so good at make up. Your face is just annoyingly perfect” and Kaylee Bell hit the nail on the head “You’ve cracked the boy code.”
Of course, the sarcasm is obvious, she sprinkles the reel with exaggerated stares and a tease of her latest single 1990 Somethin’ which dropped today. The track is a retro-inspired anthem that name-drops 90s country legends like Shania Twain, Alan Jackson, and Joe Diffie. Packed with throwback flair and two-steppin’ energy, the track pays homage to the era that shaped her.
“Growing up in the 90’s, I had the greatest country soundtrack,” Jackson shares. “I was so inspired by the energy, the great songwriting, the artists being larger than life and… You bet, the outfits!”
The idea for the song sparked side stage at CMC Rocks, as she watched Zach Top perform. “I was hearing the music and looking at the crowd and I felt like there were less iPhones in the air and that 90’s nostalgia was brand new & beautiful. My songs have always been inspired by the music that I grew up on; but we just turned it up a notch on this one!”
Feud or no feud, Jackson’s reel proves one thing, she knows how to read the room, ride a trend, and keep country music fun. And while it’s unlikely we’ll see fists fly at the next festival, we wouldn’t be mad if someone dropped a diss track just for the drama of it all.
Go get ‘em Max!
