Lewis Hamilton is prioritizing his dog Roscoe’s health above everything else.

Amid the 12-year-old doggo’s battle with pneumonia, the Formula 1 star is once again stepping away from the spotlight.

In an Instagram Story, he announced skipping another high-profile event, this time Milan Fashion Week, to be with his fur baby, who currently needs medical attention.

“I was supposed to be in Milan for the Ferrari Fashion Show tomorrow and was really excited about it. But as you know, I need to be with Roscoe right now,” he wrote.

Despite the unexpected changes, the 40-year-old racer assured that he will continue to support the upcoming show.

“I’ll be watching the show on @ferraristyle and want to send my love and support to Rocco and the whole team. I’m sure it’s going to be amazing – enjoy the livestream on Saturday at 9:30am Milan time and see you very soon!” he added.

Prior to the announcement regarding the fashion show, Hamilton had already mentioned that he was canceling his appearance at the Ferrari tyre test.

In a heartbreaking post, Britain’s seven-time world champion revealed that his beloved dog had fallen into a coma after suffering pneumonia once again.

Moreover, he also asked fans and followers to include Roscoe in their prayers for his speedy recovery.

“Please keep Roscoe in your thoughts. I want to keep you all updated. Roscoe caught pneumonia again and was struggling to breathe. He was admitted into hospital and sedated to calm him while they did checks on him and during the process, his heart stopped. They managed to get a heartbeat back and now he’s in a coma. We don’t know whether he will wake from this. Tomorrow we’ll try to wake him up. I’m by his side and want to thank you all for your prayers and support,” he wrote, along with photos of his beloved English bulldog at the vet, lying with tubes as his fur parent kept watch.

Fans and even celebrities expressed their concern and well-wishes as the iconic racing driver faces this difficult time.

“Sending u love and support, buddy,” America’s Next Top Model alum Winnie Harlow commented.

“I know how much you love him and he loves you. Hugs, prayers,” tennis legend Venus Williams said.

Actress Gabrielle Union added, “Praying for you, my friend and your sweet lil guy Roscoe.”

The F1 star was also set to appear at Italy’s Mugello track but was replaced by Chinese reserve driver Zhou Guanyu following his withdrawal.
