The biggest country night of all time was over, and Leanne and Lainey took the stage for a romantic moment.

The two blondes donned matching white cowboy hats, Western jackets, and bell bottoms. Leanne told the crowd that she grew up right down the road in Adams, Tennessee, and said, “I felt in my heart that one day I’d be up here. I just didn’t think it would be post-menopause. When I was your age, I was not hosting the CMA Awards. I had three babies under the age of five and I was not wearing little bell bottom britches.”

“Now that my career is finally where it is, I want to look cute too,” Leanne said. “You should’ve seen me in the 80s. Sometimes I think it’s a blessing that this all didn’t happen to me when I was younger and thinner. I think I would’ve used it for evil. I have no regrets though, except I think I should’ve done more lunges and squats leading up to this.”

She told Lainey, “I want you to promise me that you will let your little light shine as long as you can. Because one day, you’ll have plantar fasciitis and night sweats. Speaking of sweat, these pants are so tight, the back of my knees are wet. I don’t know how y’all do all this. I think I’m going to have to have someone to cut me out of these.”

“I’m sure they’ve got a pair of scissors back there,” Lainey offered. “I’ll let wardrobe know.”

Leanne continued, “Well that precious little girl’s already been through enough getting these on me. I was thinking maybe Riley Green could help.”

In the crowd, a surprised Riley looked down in surprised before removing his hat, checking his pockets, and giving a mega-watt smile.

It’s been a busy night for Riley. The singer has already taken home awards for Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and Music Video of the Year, all for “you look like you love me,” his duet with Ella Langley. He later took the stage for a sultry rendition of “Worst Way.”
