Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel Leading ‘Separate Lives’: ‘There’s So Much Damage From the Past’

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s marriage has been hanging by a thread, as Star previously reported. Now, friends are urging the couple to come to a decision about the future of their relationship.

“Everyone around them can see the marriage isn’t working and it’s reached the point where friends are saying this limbo just isn’t healthy anymore,” says a source. “They’ve basically been living separate lives. Jessica is so focused on her work, her friends, her kids. It seems like Justin is an afterthought most of the time.”

It’s no secret that Biel, 43, has had to put up with a lot in recent years.

In 2019, Timberlake, 44, was caught holding hands with Palmer costar Alisha Wainwright during a night out in New Orleans. He apologized to his wife and son Silas, 10, for his “strong lapse of judgement” and they went on to welcome their second son Phineas in 2020.

Then, in 2024, the “SexyBack” singer was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in Sag Harbor, New York. He pleaded guilty to Driving While Ability Impaired, paid a $500 fine, had his license suspended for 90 days and served 25 hours of community service.

“It does seem as though it’s all caught up and essentially turned into this wall between them,” says the source. “Justin has done so much groveling but he seems to be past that and now just wants things to work organically, but there’s so much damage from the past that it’s a very big ask.”

One that Timberlake and Biel have struggled to see through.

“The trust still hasn’t come back and all the therapy in the world hasn’t magically fixed that,” says the source. “They do seem to be stuck and Jessica’ friends are saying she needs to either walk away or fully commit because dragging this out isn’t good for anyone involved.”
