Justin Bieber pays off tens of millions of dollars in debt

Justin Bieber has just settled a financial dispute with his former manager Scooter Braun and must pay off tens of millions of dollars in debt.

According to TMZ , Justin Bieber and his former manager Scooter Braun reached a settlement on July 10. Accordingly, the Sorry singer must pay tens of millions of dollars in debt to Braun’s company Hybe.

Previously, in May, a close source revealed that Bieber borrowed this money to cover debts incurred after he canceled the Justice tour in 2022. “Scooter Braun stepped in to help Justin,” the source said.

The sudden cancellation of the tour has had a serious financial impact on the singer. After receiving an advance payment of $40 million from AEG – the tour company – but then canceling the show, Bieber was asked to repay $26 million .

Braun paid $ 26 million on Bieber’s behalf through his Hybe company. Under the terms of the new settlement, Bieber will have to repay that $26 million . He will also have to pay half of the $11 million in commissions Braun claims Bieber owes him over the years.

According to TMZ , Justin Bieber has recently faced many financial difficulties. In the documentary TMZ Investigates: What Happened to Justin Bieber? released in May, the media revealed that he was forced to sell his music copyright because he was “on the brink of financial collapse”.

Sources say it seems financial pressure also contributed to the rift between Bieber and Braun – the manager who has been with him for 15 years.

Last month, Braun confirmed that his relationship with the Sorry singer is no longer what it used to be. “I think at some point, he wants to prove that he can do it on his own. When you become a grown man, you want to prove to the world that you can stand on your own,” he shared.

However, Braun said he still fully respects Bieber’s decision and will continue to support the singer in the future.
