Jelly Roll Hilariously Explains Why He Loves When People Call Bunnie XO a “Gold Digger”

He’s said it before, and he’s saying it again: Jelly Roll was the “gold digger,” not his wife, Bunnie Xo.

However, as Page Six reportedthe wife of the “Save Me” singer hates it when people slap that label on her.

“It just flames her up,” he said. “But it just tickles me absolutely pink because when I met her, I was homeless, living out of a 1996 conversion van, so if anyone was digging for gold, it was I, Popeye.”

He added, “I was couch surfing and made it to the bedroom, ya know?”

Things Were Very Different When Jelly Roll First Met Bunnie Xo

As we reported last year, Jelly Roll revealed that when he and Bunnie Xo first met, she was living the luxury life.

“My wife grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada,” Jelly Roll shared. “My wife was a high-end escort her whole life. That’s what she did when I met her. I was broke. I was living in a 1996 van. Literally. Didn’t have a house. And this woman has like two condos and a few sports cars. She’s f*****g BALLING.”

Bunnie Xo also helped him get custody of his daughter, Bailee Ann, after they eloped 10 years ago.

Bunnie Xo Isn’t a Fan of the “Gold Digger” Label

Bunnie Xo really doesn’t like it when people say she married Jelly Roll for the money. On her Dumb Blonde podcast last September, she decided to prove the haters wrong once and for all.

She sat down with Michael Sawyer, the owner of a polygraph firm in Tennessee, to separate fact from fiction once and for all.

Bunnie Xo then gets grilled about her past, her relationship with Jelly Roll, and whether she married him for the money. And in case you were wondering, the answer to that last question is, “No.”

The interrogation took just 10 minutes, and Sawyer shared the results a few moments later.

He said, “It is in my professional opinion that Bunnie has been truthful concerning the issues that we discussed today.”

“I f*****g told you, b*****s,” said the podcast host. “You guys should never ever doubt me. I’m never going to lead you astray.”

So, yeah, don’t call Bunnie Xo a “gold digger,” ok?
