Jelly Roll Reveals Surgery Plans Amid Massive Weight Loss

Jelly Roll Found 'Peace' After Changing Relationship with Alcohol, Cocaine (Exclusive)

Jelly Roll is a much leaner version of himself than he used to be. The singer has lost about 200 pounds, which does come with one unfortunate side effect: sagging skin.

“I’m gonna have to get my skin cut,” Jelly Roll reveals on the What’s Your Story podcast. “I’m gonna have to because it’s interfering with me and my daily functions. It’s not even an aesthetic thing.”

Jelly Roll spoke with What’s Your Story‘s Stephanie McMahon and Elyse Ashleigh Dudzinski ahead of his WWE SummerSlam debut on August 2 and 3, teaming up with Randy Orton to compete against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre.

“I got fat really young. Like really, really young, was over 300 pounds coming out of middle school,” Jelly Roll recalls. “I’m gonna be under 300 pounds for the first time since middle school the night I walk to that ring at SummerSlam. My goal, though, for the first time since middle school, I will be under 300 pounds for the first time since I was— we’re talking literally now about literally 30 years.”

Jelly Roll’s Weight Loss Journey

Jelly Roll has been open and transparent about his weight loss journey, sharing his successes on social media. The 40-year-old admits that the first month was the hardest, before he found his new normal.

“I encourage all really obese people to be patient that first month,” the Nashville native shares on the Not A Damn Chance! podcast.

“Your body is going through so many early changes, that you’re not gonna see the results that you think you’re entitled to,” he adds.

Jelly Roll brings his own chef out on the road with him, who prepares healthy meals, including a healthier version of a hashbrown bowl, which is one of his favorites. He also prioritizes moving around and getting exercise, even while he is on tour.

The father of two reveals on the What’s Your Story podcast that he has a new fitness goal.

“I haven’t set another one in a while,” Jelly Roll says. “This’ll make my publicist hate me. I wanna do a shirt off cover in ’27.’”
