The View hosts ‘cackle like hyenas’ after SNL star dubs JD Vance ‘pope killer’ in shock moment on live TV

Sick trolls applauded the bizarre comment

THE View panel has erupted into giggles after a guest made a sick joke about Vice President JD Vance “killing” Pope Francis.

Saturday Night Live cast member and comedian Bowen Yang was slammed for laughing off the Pope’s death with a hit at the Republican leader.

During his appearance on Thursday, Yang opened up about playing Vance on the sketch comedy show.

He said that he initially didn’t want the part, and thought, “there are better people for this,” before ultimately taking on the role.

“I worked with an accent coach. I had to get it between Ohio and Appalachia with the accent, it’s hard,” he said, explaining how he prepared for the show.

After giving a behind-the-scenes view, Yang then bizarrely called the vice president a “pope killer” and burst out laughing.

The offhand remark sparked a roar of cheers from the crowd, with the entire panel barely able to contain themselves at the out-of-touch comment.

Yang’s joke was referencing an online firestorm that came after Vance’s Easter Day meeting with Pope Francis.

When the Catholic leader died on Monday, sick online trolls accused the politician of “killing” the Pope with their interaction the day prior.

However, the Vatican has since confirmed that the 88-year-old died from a cerebral stroke and subsequent irreversible heart failure.

In a post on X, one annoyed user shared the clip of Yang’s comment and called the comedian an “idiot.”

“Today on The View this idiot Bowen Yang said JD Vance ‘is a pope killer’ and the hyenas laughed,” wrote the user.

“I don’t care if it was a joke or not, I’d sue him and the show.”

THE VIEW’S MELTDOWNS

The View hosts are constantly called out for their hatred of President Donald Trump, with the only two conservative-leaning guests being staunchly anti-MAGA.

When Trump triumphantly won the presidential election in November, host Sunny Hostin went on a tirade against “uneducated white women” in a full-blown meltdown.

While breaking down in tears, the lawyer said she was “profoundly disturbed” by Trump’s win and said there was “cultural resentment” in the country.

“I was so hopeful that a mixed-race woman married to a Jewish guy could be elected president of this country,” Hostin said on the segment.

“And I think that it had nothing to do with policy. I think this was a referendum of cultural resentment in this country.”

And just two weeks ago, panelist Whoopi Goldberg made waves for declaring that Trump doesn’t represent America.

“All you countries who watch us, this is not our wish,” she said while her co-hosts nodded emphatically.

“This is not what the American people want. We don’t like it.

“That’s why you will hear us kvetching about this as long as we are able, because no one we’re talking to understands what’s going on, and, therefore, when they say America, they’re not talking about us.”
