Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher recently shared a glimpse into their private romance on the red carpet of Opry 100: A Live Celebration, reminding us of their cutest moments as a couple.

When it comes to celeb romances, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are the champions.

The country singer and retired NHL player met in 2008 through a mutual connection, her bassist Mark Childers, and quickly formed a romantic bond.

And although the two were living in two different countries, with Mike residing in Canada for hockey at the time, their early long-distance relationship blossomed into an engagement in 2009, followed by their 2010 wedding. Now, Mike and Carrie share sons Isaiah, 10, Jacob, 6, and their rescue dog Charlie who they adopted in 2023.

And while the pair have kept much of their relationship out of the public eye—and off the red carpet—in recent years, they made an exception for the Opry 100: A Live Celebration in Nashville on March 19. In fact, this was their first red carpet together in two years, following their joint appearance at the CMA Awards in November 2022.

A possible reason for fewer joint appearances? Kids.

“My husband’s got the kiddos,” she shared with CMT at the 2023 CMT Awards. “He’s always holding down the fort while I’m out doing stuff like this.”

Whether they’re at home or by each other’s sides at an event, Mike and Carrie continue to be each other’s biggest fans.

When Mike was honored into the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame, the American Idol judge praised her husband, sharing in a July 2023 post to X, “Congratulations babe! So proud of you!! I can think of no one more deserving! Glad me and the boys could celebrate you and your accomplishments.”

They also love to show their romance through gifts, even an unexpected item on her Christmas list.

“I wanted cows. I grew up with cows and I love them,” the star explained on Late Night with Seth Meyers in December 2020. “They’re probably my favorite animal if I had to pick one, and I’ve always wanted one.”

“He slapped some wranglers on and put his hat on and he was at the sale, like, two days later. He was like, ‘I didn’t know what was happening. They guy was talking real fast.’ He was an auctioneer,” she explained. “But we just raised our little paddle a couple times, and next thing you know, they’re loading up two cows to bring home.”
