Post Malone brazenly BREAKS THE LAW by holding an open beer while in a car in Los Angeles

Post Malone was seen breaking the law in California on Thursday.

The 29-year-old performer was photographed holding an open bottle of Bud Light beer while in the backseat of a black SUV in Los Angeles.

Malone is a long-time partner with Bud Light, collaborating on multiple Super Bowl commercials and a concert in New Orleans during Super Bowl LIX weekend.

He was near a recording studio.

In California, it’s illegal to have an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

California’s open container law (Vehicle Code 23222 VC) prohibits having any open or unsealed container of alcohol in the passenger compartment of a vehicle, whether the driver or a passenger owns it.

This means the container cannot be anywhere a passenger can reach, such as a cup holder or console.

Open containers must be stored in the trunk or a non-passenger area. Violating the open container law is an infraction and can result in a fine and points on your driving record.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Post’s representatives for comment.

The crooner had a country cool look going on.

Post wore a heavy fleece-lined suede jacket over a beige shirt with brown slacks that had a large silver belt buckle, and cowboy boots.

He added gold-rimmed tinted brown sunglasses and an off-white cowboy hat with a lipstick kiss mark over the top.

The artist appeared to be with several male friends.

Often he has a red plastic SOLO cup and a cigarette on stage when performing, as he did at Coachella over the weekend.

Last week he puffed on a cigarette and held onto a glass of wine as he stepped out in Paris with girlfriend Christy Lee.

The rapper-turned-rock and country singer, whose real name is Austin Post, departed a French eatery with his drink in hand.  The couple looked smitten in their matching navy ensembles as they headed out for a romantic date night.

He slipped into a smart tux and cream cowboy hat while Christy put on a very leggy display in a short-sleeved mini dress.

Post only just separated from his unnamed fiancée late last year, and has seemingly been enjoying his new flame since the beginning of the year.

He also rarely posted about their relationship on social media but fans have dubbed the woman ‘Jamie.’

It’s not clear when Post began seeing his new girlfriend Christy but the two have been pictured together since at least January.

He and his new love were recently seen together in a TikTok video.

The two were also previously seen stepping out for dinner at the luxurious Mascagni Hotel in Rome on January 13.

Some fans in the comments were shocked that the performer had moved on with a new woman, as he always displayed great affection for his ex in his few public comments about her.

It wasn’t until a 2022 interview with Howard Stern that Post began referring to Jamie as his fiancée, but he opened up about how the two got engaged on an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast later that year.

He revealed that Jamie at first turned down his proposal because he was too intoxicated at the time.

‘It was in [Las] Vegas,’ he shared with host Alex Cooper. ‘I had lost a significant amount of money at the table. We go upstairs and I’m off my rocker hammered and I was like, “Hey, you wanna marry me?” I got a ring and all this stuff.

‘And she said, “No.” She’s like, “Ask me tomorrow,” and I was like, “All right.” And then I did and I was sober and it was nice.’

Post added that he knew his fiancée was ‘right’ for him because her ‘heart is so massive.’

‘I’ve always wanted kids and a big family. And I could tell she was going to be a really good mama,’ he shared. ‘And she’s like No. 1 mom in the f***ing universe.’

So far, he has not revealed their daughter’s full name, though he did share that her initials are DDP.

Post also hasn’t said anything about this new love Christy, but her LinkedIn account indicates that she is based in New York City and has studied at the Parsons School of Design.

She also reportedly worked as an intern for the celebrity stylist Kristina Askerova, which would have put her in the same orbit as several high-profile stars.
