Post Malone Sued for $10 Million by Limo Driver Who Appeared in His Music Video

Post Malone is being sued for a music video he made five years ago. And, plot twist, it’s his limousine driver that’s doing the suing.

Post Malone Is Hitting Broadway With His Own Nashville Bar

Before Post Malone ever stepped onto the country scene, some might remember his duet with Tyla Yahweh in 2020. Malone had just released Hollywood’s Bleeding in 2019, and was everyone’s favorite “genre-less” pop star. Now, with multiple genres to his name, Malone is in a lawsuit with limousine driver Larry Deuel. Deuel’s claim is that he was involved, but wasn’t paid for being in the “Tommy Lee” music video.

On Friday, October 17, this claim was filed in Utah by Deuel, who is a part-time teacher and chauffeur. Deuel says that he was recruited by Post Malone and Tyla Yaweh to provide transportation services. On the day of the shoot, Deuel was allegedly supposed to give them a drive to Malone’s Utah ranch. This is where the music video was to be filmed.

Deuel said that while on the ranch, the two stars asked him to step in front of the camera. They allegedly claimed that he would be “taken care of” for his time. Five years later, he’s still waiting for that paycheck.

Malone and Yaweh Remain Silent

If you look up the “Tommy Lee” music video on YouTube, it’s not surprising that you find a couple of clips of Malone and Yaweh driving around on ATVs, wearing chains and sunglasses. What is surprising, though, is that a not-so-mysterious limousine driver shows up for more than a few innocent shots.

Throughout the video, which now has over 98 million views on the platform, Deuel can be found next to his limousine, unrolling a red carpet, mostly just making Malone and Yaweh look like rock stars. He’s a critical part of the video, but was allegedly never paid a cent.

According to Deuel, this isn’t the first time that he’s tried to contact Post Malone or Yaweh. After trying to get in touch with Better Noise Music, Malone’s management company, and even writing a letter to Malone’s Utah home, his efforts apparently came to no avail.

Now, this limousine driver is suing both stars for misusing his name and likeness, and is asking for $10 million. Still, Malone and Yaweh are yet to respond to any of these accusations.
