Harris Faulkner’s blunt message to The View rivals Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin
The Fox News star opened up about what she really thought of her rivals in an explosive interview. Harris Faulkner has recently won a ratings war against The View
She has been embroiled in a ratings war with The View, and Harris Faulkner did not mince her words when it came to her rivals Whoppi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin.
The Fox News star opened up about what she really thought of them in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.Com. She said: “On The View, there is this sort of, shout it, cuss it, do whatever you gotta do to get a little more attention around the hot topics.”
Harris let loose on The View stars, including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sunny, after her 11am Fox News show, The Faulkner Focus, beat them for the first time in a shock ratings upset.
Faulkner The Focus received 2,552,000 viewers in January, edging ahead of The View’s 2,508,000, a significant triumph. Speaking about having the edge on her rivals she compared The View now to how different it was when Barbara Walters was on it and said: “Now I don’t really know what the show is, apart from talk, talk, talk; a lot of combativeness.”

She added that what The View had was ‘vitriol.’ She slammed Sunny Hostin and said: “I’ve seen Sunny Hostin read so many apologies on the air recently for the legal exposure of some of the things that she and others have said on the show. That’s dicey.”
Faulkner said she believes her Fox News show’s ‘superpower’ is that it’s live, not pre-taped like The View, as well as having guests with diverse political views.
Meanwhile, Whoopi is no stranger to a row on the show. Just earlier this month, Whoopi had a tiff with The View’s executive producer live on air when discussing false comments from Donald Trump.
In Wednesday’s episode, the hosts were discussing the vice presidential debate, specifically JD Vance’s refusal to say Trump lost the 2020 election. It aired a clip showing the Republican vice presidential candidate claiming Trump “peacefully gave over power,” airing it alongside footage of the Capitol riots on Jan. 6, 2021.
That’s when fellow co-host Sunny Hostin read a “legal note” regarding the discussion. Reading the note, Hostin clarified: “Donald Trump has denied any wrongdoing related to the 2020 election.”
Whoopi was quick to jump in. Looking at Executive Producer Brian Teta, she said: “I find that so interesting. Goldberg wasn’t pleased with that answer, and she told Teta: “One day you’ll tell me why.”
He shot back, saying he’s told her several times, but they can “talk about it off air.” She kept on, however, replying: “I find it odd when everybody has seen it, and they know that it’s not necessarily the truth.”
