Tim McGraw Shows off New Bald Look as He Heads Back to the Studio

Tim McGraw Debuts New Look In Nashville - Country Now

Country star Tim McGraw has had a rough go of things lately, health-wise. The “Live Like You Were Dyin’” hitmaker even canceled a recent show in Colorado to focus on recovery following multiple surgeries. Fans grew even more alarmed when McGraw, 58, shared photos sporting a cane to social media. Fortunately, cameras recently caught a glimpse of the three-time Grammy Award winner heading into the studio, this time sporting another brand-new look.

On Wednesday, July 30, Billboard Country shared photos of McGraw rocking a newly shorn head—and bulging biceps—as he walked into his studio in Nashville.

Along with his hair, the cane is also conspicuously absent from the photo. Fans first noticed the mobility assistance device in a July 1 post to social media, where McGraw shared pictures of himself and wife Faith Hill in Copenhagen, Denmark, for their youngest daughter’s show with Brandi Carlile.

Days earlier, the “I Like It, I Love It” singer canceled a scheduled July 21 appearance at the Professional Bull Riders Last Cowboy Standing event at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Cross Canadian Ragweed stepped in to take McGraw’s place.

Tim McGraw Gears Up For Return to Performing

This latest Tim McGraw sighting yields good news for fans who worried the Louisiana-born hitmaker may never take the stage again. During a May appearance on the Tracy Lawrence Road House podcast, McGraw revealed that he took nearly a whole year off to recover from multiple back surgeries and knee replacements.

“I can tell you that after double knee replacements and three back surgeries and now a torn rotator cuff and a ruptured disc, there were times this year that I thought this might be it,” he said. “This might be time to hang it up… It’s gonna come to a point to where I’m either gonna have to decide to change the way I do a live show to continue to do it, or just not do it anymore.”

As far as we know, however, the son of former MLB pitcher Tug McGraw will still take the stage ahead of the MLB Speedway Classic on Saturday, August 2. Tim McGraw is headlining a special pregame show at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee.
