Louis Tomlinson admitted he once felt “uncomfortable” when former bandmate Harry Styles became too successful after going solo.

In an interview with The Telegraph, former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson shared his thoughts and opinions on fellow bandmate Harry Styles’ solo debut. In it, the singer admitted that Harry’s success made him feel jealous. “I’d be lying if I said Harry’s success didn’t bother me,” Louis shared, “However, this jealousy was only at first, when I didn’t know where I stood and the only place I thought I was suited to was standing with the members on stage.”

In the same interview, Louis also expressed his surprise at Harry Styles’ success. Accordingly, he affirmed that Harry was the one with the highest potential for success in the group because Harry “fits the mold of a modern-day star”.

“Harry not only makes music, he also acts in films, and his tours are amazing. While it took me a long time to get to where I am now”, Louis admitted.

“I always considered Harry as a younger brother. Now I’m quite proud of what he has achieved”, the former One Direction member continued.
