Lewis Hamilton is all set to race for Ferrari in the 2025 season after finishing his test session with the SF-25 at Fiorano. The Briton seems hopeful of contending for his record-breaking eighth title with the Italian constructor. Amidst the final preparations, Ex-Ferrari driver Jean Alesi talked highly of the seven-time champion’s entry to the Scuderia.
Lewis Hamilton‘s highly anticipated test with the SF-25 at Fiorano was met with a massive presence of the Tifosi. The Briton’s first visit to Maranello also created a state of emergency in the city. Hence, Jean Alesi declared that Hamilton ‘impressed’ everybody within the Italian constructor. Alesi noted that the 40-year-old’s presence was enough to impress everyone around him.
I know many people in Ferrari. He impressed everybody. He impressed everybody from his presence, the way he presented himself to the team.
Jean Alesi told Sky Sports.
Alesi emphasized the impact that Hamilton would have on Ferrari in the coming years. The Frenchman believed that F1’s only black driver created a ‘cultural shock’ at the Italian constructor. Notably, the 40-year-old will be the winningest driver to ever join the Scuderia which further improved Maranello’s chances.
Really, he was a cultural shock for Ferrari, to have such a champion.
Jean Alesi added.
Jean Alesi anticipates ‘competitive’ Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari
Ferrari’s team principal Fred Vasseur has already deemed Lewis Hamilton as a ‘great asset‘ in the team’s championship ambitions. The Prancing Horses could finally taste championship victory after a drought of over 16 years. Hence, Jean Alesi insisted that Hamilton’s competitiveness with the Italian constructor was ‘obvious’ due to his track record.

When I judge by results and his background and what he’s achieved, I can only say there is a very high chance that obviously he is going to be competitive at Ferrari.
Jean Alesi noted.
Ferrari has already secured a great improvement in performance ahead of the final edition of the ground-effect era. McLaren remains the prime competitor of the Italian constructor as Red Bull and Mercedes look promising of joining the battle at the forefront. As such, the 2025 season would be highly exciting as multiple teams and drivers hope to join the title clash.
