On Monday morning, Ella Langley cancelled the rest of her summer shows due to “feeling more run down than ever.” Here is her message to fans.

This summer has been a big one for country singer Ella Langley. From touring with Riley Green and playing shows for her Still Hungover Tour, to even opening for Morgan Wallen, Langley has had her hands full. Although she’s had a good run, the singer reminded us Monday morning that even she is not invincible and needs to take some time off now and then. To the dismay of a few fans, Langley revealed in an Instagram post that she’s postponing the rest of her shows for August.

“I’m so sad to be posting this. The past several weeks have been tough. I’ve been fighting sickness and feeling more run down than ever. After a lot of thought, I’ve made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus on my health – mind, body, and heart,” the singer posted.

In her message, Langley explained that she wants to “be fully present for all the moments ahead.” She also mentioned that she knows she “can’t do that without first taking care of [herself].” Unfortunately, this means her tour dates in Ohio, Tennessee, Idaho, Montana, and Colorado are being postponed. However, the singer says she’ll be back in September, ready to “give her all.”

First Luke Bryan and HARDY, Now Ella Langley

Ella Langley Is Taking Time Off Tours to Recover from 'Sickness'

We would say this isn’t typical, but Ella Langley isn’t the only country star who’s had to take time off this summer. Luke Bryan, who’s currently making the rounds on his Country Song Came On Tour, had to postpone some shows due to a prolonged illness. After realizing he was battling a tough case of COVID-19, the singer got honest on stage about the state of his voice with fans. “When I can sing, I’m gonna sing. When I can’t, y’all are gonna sing, alright?”

Country singer-songwriter HARDY also cancelled the European leg of his Jim Bob World Tour, which he’s been on this summer. He didn’t provide fans with an explanation as to why. Sometimes it’s just a fact that singers experience stress or burnout as a result of working too hard. They have to do what’s best for them so that they can ultimately show up for fans.

Ella Langley put this best. “Sometimes we have to listen when our bodies and hearts are telling us to slow down.” The singer may not be feeling her greatest right now. But if there’s anyone who can bounce back, it’s Ella Langley. And we know she’ll be ready to put on a heck of a show when she does.
