ACM Awards’ Biggest Winner Ella Langley Reveals Where She Plans To Store Her Trophies Inside Her Nashville Home

Country music sensation Ella Langley was at a “loss for words” after picking up the Single of the Year Award, presented by Realtor.com® at the Academy of Country Music Awards on May 8—but she admitted she cannot wait to showcase her new trophies inside her Nashville abode.
The 26-year-old snapped up five awards at the prestigious ceremony, which was hosted by the newly appointed Realtor.com celebrity spokesperson, Reba McEntire, who presented Langley and Riley Green with their Single of the Year win for their hit song, “You Look Like You Love Me.”
Like McEntire, Langley moved to Nashville in order to pursue her musical career, relocating from her hometown in Alabama in 2019.
“The music family here is just really special; people are so willing to be a mentor or help you grow in a way I just couldn’t do back home,” Langley said of her new home state during an interview with Raised Rowdy.
Following her five ACM Award wins, a stunned Langley confessed that she couldn’t wait to take her trophies home and proudly display them inside her dwelling—although she admitted that she hadn’t yet chosen the perfect place to store them.

“I really don’t know [where I’m going to put them],” she told Billboard. “I might try them out in a couple of different places. Test it out. Maybe the coffee table or maybe above the kitchen, I don’t know.”
In addition to Single of the Year presented by Realtor.com, the trusted home search site, Langley also claimed the awards for Music Event of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, and two awards in the visual media category—a succession of victories that left her speechless, something she said “rarely” happens to her.
However, she found her voice in time to offer some words of thanks to her fans, while also praising Green, explaining that the process of collaborating with him on the song taught her “to just not care so much and write what you love.”
Previously, Langley has shared that her move to Nashville also helped her to find more freedom in her writing process, joking to Raised Rowdy that she spent much of her childhood in Alabama trying to “survive life” with two brothers.
“I grew up in the country in Alabama between two brothers, so a lot of my childhood was just trying to survive life between those two,” she said.
“I always was trying to prove I was just as tough and fearless as they were. Being a tomboy like that, a lot of my friends ended up being guys. If you ask my band or people who know me, they’ll tell you sometimes I seem more like a guy than a girl. But I think women can still be direct, strong, and tough, without apologizing for who they are or how they think.”
Making the decision to pursue her music full time was a serious one for Langley, who dropped out of Auburn University in order to focus on her passion.
“I had a boyfriend who was in music and then his manager, they were both moving to Nashville and we’re going to live with Trey (Lewis). And I was like, well hell, I’m not staying here,” she previously told CountryNow.
“So I called mom and dad and I said, ‘Hey, I think I want to drop out of school and move to Nashville. I’m just going to be in more debt anyways when I graduate. I mean, I’m going to go do this anyways. I would rather start it now.’”

The singer also revealed that she was warmly welcomed to Nashville.
“It’s been a cool journey of finding those people for me in town that I just love and love me and believe in me and I believe in them. And so that’s what’s really kept me going a lot through this,” she went on.
“And obviously my family supports me the way that they do and just love me, but that’s the thing, nobody has ever thought I was going to do anything else…
“If you ask any of my family, they’re like, ‘Yeah, we all knew that this was what she was going to do.’ So there wasn’t ever really any question when I wanted to move.”
Her comments echo those previously made by McEntire, who told Realtor.com on the set of her new campaign, “Nearly Home,” that she knew Nashville was the perfect place for her to focus on her music.
However, the country legend brought some pieces of her Oklahoma upbringing with her—including the Southern hospitality that she was raised with.
“When people come see me, the first thing I say is: ‘Are you hungry? Would you like something to drink? When was the last time you ate?’ Now that is Southern hospitality,” she shared.
“I knew growing up that Momma and Daddy couldn’t afford to feed everybody, but if they walked in that front door, Momma asked, ‘Were they hungry? Would they like something to drink? We have sweet tea, unsweetened tea, whatever you like.’”
McEntire lit up another town—Frisco, TX—while hosting the ACM Awards, during which she took to the stage alongside Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson to perform their new single, “Trailblazer.”
