Leave it to Ella Langley to make a 38-year-old song sound brand-new. The country singer has been taking over today’s airwaves (and the Landman soundtrack) with hits like “Choosin’ Texas,” but now she’s putting her own spin on a decades old pop song.

Ella took to Tik Tok to share a cover of “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley. The song was released in 1987, more than a decade before Ella was born, but she made the 80s anthem her own. She offered the simple explanation: “Been stuck in my head all day.”

The song was an international hit, topping the charts in 25 countries in the year it was released, and Ella’s fans are raving over her acoustic, slowed-down version. A few of our favorite comments on the video:

We know it’s early, but 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Ella. She’ll be performing at the New Faces of Country Music Show at the Country Radio Seminar in March. The event spotlights “emerging artists who have demonstrated notable success and momentum at Country Radio.” She’s also has a full slate of tour dates lined up—she’ll be joining Eric Church and Morgan Wallen on tour, and performing at Stagecoach. We can only hope that she finds time to record new music along the way.
