Riley Green and Ella Langley at Country Thunder with their ACM award

Ella Langley and Riley Green just scored an early win at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards—and they found out in front of a crowd of fans.

While performing together at Country Thunder, the country music duo was surprised with the news that their music video for “You Look Like You Love Me” had earned the ACM Award for Visual Media of the Year. The announcement came in the form of a video message from ACM Awards host Reba McEntire, who shared the news mid-performance.

“Sorry to interrupt, but I have some big news,” Reba said in the clip, before congratulating Langley and Green on their win. “Can’t wait to celebrate with you both in Frisco!”

The award marks another highlight in an already landmark year for both artists. Langley—named New Female Artist of the Year just last month—is leading this year’s ACM nominations with a total of eight, including several nods for her breakout hit with Green. During her set at Rock the Country in Knoxville, Langley received her own surprise video from Miranda Lambert, who called her a “soul sister in country music” while delivering the news of her win.

Riley Green is also having a banner season, matching Langley with six additional nominations heading into the May 8 ceremony.

Other early winners include Zach Top, named New Male Artist of the Year, and Red Clay Strays, awarded Best New Group of the Year.

The 2025 ACM Awards will be held on May 8 in Frisco, Texas, with more surprises—and big wins—sure to come.
