Darius Rucker’s Girlfriend Seemingly Claps Back at Critics of Their Age-Gap Romance

Her response is getting attention after the couple went Instagram official.

Darius Rucker‘s girlfriend Emily Deahl appears to be clapping back at critics of their age-gap relationship.

The social media personality, 33, posted a TikTok that seemingly called out those who are not supportive of her and the “Wagon Wheel” singer’s relationship. Rucker, 59, recently hard-launched Deahl on Instagram, and the comment section was flooded with remarks on the couple’s 26-year age gap.

On Wednesday, Sept. 10, Deahl posted a video of herself running on a beach, facing away from the camera , set to Chappell Roan‘s “The Subway.” Text over the video read, “When I’m running from the comments and then I see them say ‘she’s gotta be in her 20s.’”

Deahl didn’t mention Rucker or the criticism of their relationship directly, however, it’s likely she’s referring to the less-than-positive reception their hard launch received.

In the comment section, commenters showed support to Deahl as she navigates the online criticism.

“Best response ever❤,” one user wrote. “Ignore it …. Fabulous response.” said another.

“Mic drop,” added a third. “This is a masterpiece.” said a fourth.

Deahl is a musician and social media personality with 468,000 followers on TikTok.

In a video posted to her YouTube channel in April, she revealed that she moved to London in January of this year. That same month, Rucker also shared that he moved to the city.

Rucker has two children from his marriage to ex-wife Beth Leonard, whom he separated from in 2020: daughter Daniela, 24, and son Jack, 20. He is also dad to daughter Carolyn, 30, from a previous relationship.
