KT Smith’s Husband, Luke Scornavacco, Announces Divorce Months After She Shared That His Social Media Was “An Ick”

An update on KT Smith and Luke Scornavacco’s relationship.

Morgan Wallen’s ex, KT Smith, caused quite the commotion earlier this year after appearing on the Dumb Blonde podcast hosted by Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie Xo.

KT Smith and Morgan Wallen share a 5-year-old son, Indigo, and the two were previously engaged in an on-again, off-again relationship from 2016 to 2019. Once the two called it quits for good, KT got into a relationship with Luke, and the two dated for two years before tying the knot.

However, after nine months of marriage, KT and Luke publicly announced they were getting divorced. Smith opened up on the Dumb Blonde podcast about what led her to want a divorce:

“I love Luke. I’ll always love Luke. Throughout our relationship, I just had issues with certain things, and like, we both did social media, and that’s basically I feel like impossible for two people to both do that career and for it to be lasting. For me, like I had said earlier, I want to be in a soft girl era and not feel like I have to take care of so much.

But I was taking care of the bills, all of the bills except for half the rent, and that’s just also who I am as a person. Like, I offered to do it, but then it gets to a point where it’s like, I don’t wanna have to hold everything together. Take care of the chickens and do manly things like that, lawn work and all that stuff. The social media thing was kind of an ick for me, and that was my fault for getting into it knowing that he did that.”

Smith admitted that she knew social media gave her the ick before the choice to get married, and when Bunnie pressed more on the topic, KT admitted that it being an ick comes from past relationship trauma… cough cough Morgan Wallen.

“Okay, the ick does come from a past trauma and I didn’t want Luke to feel like, get all of his validation from all these strangers and women on the internet and then it turn into what it did in my prior relationship. And secretly, I guess I was scared of that. Guys hurt so much different, once they’re hurt once, they kind of build up a wall. So once we announced that we’re getting divorced, I was like, ‘Hey, let’s work on things.’”

Although KT announced they were getting divorced, she said on the podcast that it’s still up in the air if they will go through with it.

The two did get back together after that podcast episode; however, KT Smith received a lot of backlash on social media afterward for publicly slamming her husband and then trying to repair things.

Doesn’t seem like the best way to go about things, if you ask me. While I understand that part of being an influencer is sharing details of your life, if you’re trying to figure out whether to stay in a marriage or leave one, airing out all your intimate relationship details for the public to hear might not be the best idea.

Fans even trolled KT for appearing in a Sonic ad at Stagecoach, which contradicted her claim that social media was ick and that she did not want to act for the camera… got to get that check, eh? I mean, she publicly shared her disdain with Luke’s job while… doing the same job.

Needless to say, fans were not loving that the couple fell back into the habits that KT slammed her husband for:

“I thought she said this was an ‘ick.’”

“The way I would literally never ask her to be in another video again after the way she dragged you for it.”

“She literally said on a huge podcast that you gave her the ick …. If she truly loved you, she NEVER would have dragged you in public.”

“You deserve better, she’s not it.”

While the two appeared to be a united front for a while after announcing they were going to work on their relationship, about a month ago, fans noticed that Luke was traveling solo a lot and appeared to he living in a new apartment. While fans speculated that there might be issues in his and KT’s marriage, there was no formal announcement of a split… until now.

Luke is known for doing “life update” videos, sharing a variety of things with his followers, like upcoming travel plans, career updates, and more. During one of his most recent “life update” videos, he shared that he’s helping his sister renovate a house. However, after that introduction, he dropped a bomb that he and KT have officially called it quits.

“But before we get into that, I decided it was time to give you guys a life update. I just want to be fully transparent. As most of y’all know, I was married, and some of y’all don’t, but that chapter of my life has come to an end. 

I’d be lying if I said any part of this has been easy. This has definitely been one of the most difficult things I’ve had to navigate through in my 23 years of life. But over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time self-reflecting, rebuilding relationships with my family, my friends, working on my physical health, my spiritual health. Really just trying to become the best version of myself I can possibly be.

And through that process, I have learned there is so much in this world and in this life to be grateful for. And I just want to say thank you guys so much for all the love and support. As for me, I’m so thankful to be so blessed and to continue working hard, pursuing my dreams. I can’t wait for y’all to see my sister’s house when it’s fully renovated. God bless.” 

Throughout this whole saga, Luke has kept the utmost respect for KT Smith and has not spoken badly about her, even announcing their final separation. KT Smith, however, her digital footprint cannot say the same. Luke turned off comments on his announcement post, keeping fans from sharing their own; however, other gossip accounts have reposted Luke’s video, and the comments are not kind toward KT but wish Luke the best in his future endeavors.
