Jelly Roll spoke with Extra Wednesday night following the premiere of the Netflix’s “Star Search,” on which he serves as a judge.

The “Need a Favor” singer said he feels “incredible” since shedding 300 pounds before mentioning a silly little antic from his wife, Bunnie Xo.

“My wife put me on her Instagram allegedly as her hall pass,” Jelly Roll told the outlet. “Hey, alright. The new hall pass, dude. This is big.”

And he was right. Bunnie Xo did, in fact, share a video on Instagram of her obsessively staring at her husband on TV while the Marvelettes 1961 hit “Please Mr. Postman” played over the clip.

“Ummmm I just saw my new hall pass on TV,“ the text on the video read, while the caption was, “Don’t tell my husband.”

Jelly Roll, who once tipped the scale at “between 480 and 560 pounds,” started his weight loss journey in late 2022 and announced he lost 100 pounds in October 2024, Fox News reported.

In December 2025, the “Save Me” singer revealed on “The Joe Rogan Experience” that he had lost 300 pounds.

Jelly Roll has previously said how poor decisions in the past contributed to his weight. He told PEOPLE in November 2024 about how he struggled with “food addiction” and explained how his relationship with food had never been “healthy.”

Now, Jelly Roll is “very vigilant with my food,” he told Extra.

“I have a whole different relationship with food. I did a lot of therapy around just bad eating and a lot of running, man. I love running,” the CMA winner explained.

Reflecting further on his dramatic weight loss more, Jelly Roll told Extra that he is feeling better in “every way.”

“I’ve gotten closer to God. I’ve gotten closer to myself. I’m a better father. I’m more present with my children,” he said. “I’m a whole different human.”
