Comedian Claims Morgan Wallen is The Only Artist That Can’t Play All of His Hits in One Concert

Morgan Wallen album review: He really is the problem.

Morgan Wallen is firmly the biggest artist in country right now. Guys like Luke Combs and Chris Stapleton come close to the crown but a variety of factors keep Morgan on top. When you milk albums with almost 40 songs on them, you have plenty of material for singles. He becomes almost omnipresent with the amount of songs he has, tons of them slowly becoming varying levels of hits. It’s to the point where comedian John Crist makes the argument that Wallen has the most hits in country and he can’t even play all of them live.

Recently, he went on his Net Positive with John Crist podcast amidst the I’m The Problem album release. Notably a massive fan, Crist recalls telling his girlfriend a very bold take she found utterly ridiculous. “I go, ‘Morgan Wallen is the only artist that you would go to his show and leave and go, oh he didn’t play…’ Because I think he has too many hits. So you go, ‘Oh he didn’t play 98 Braves, or he didn’t play all the songs. And now we have a bunch of new ones,’” he argues.

Can Morgan Wallen Play All of His Hits in One Concert?

Crist doubles down despite pushback from his partner. Apparently, even the legends struggle in comparison to what Morgan is pulling off. “I go, ‘I’m saying, if you go to Alan Jackson, which I’ve been to, they’ve played all of them.’ Played all the ones you like. Any other artist, if you go to Reba McEntire, if you go to Jason Aldean, they play the ones. They play all the ones that you like,” Crist adds.

This seems like pretty brazen fanboy-ing from the comedian. Wallen can certainly reach Alan Jackson heights of hit-making. Maybe he’ll reach George Strait and his 60 number one hits. That’s really just a matter of time. But right this second? Not all of his songs are hits, those are just records Crist likes a lot. Hits used to mean a little something different. I guess we’ll just have to see how many records become smashes from I’m The Problem.
