Carrie Underwood roasts Katy Perry for her space adventure
Carrie Underwood replaced Katy Perry as a judge on ‘American Idol’ last year
Carrie Underwood has seemingly roasted Katy Perry for her Blue Origin space flight.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, the singer, who replaced Katy as a judge on American Idol last year, criticized her for participating in Blue Origin’s space mission.
“The day I go to space will be when the good Lord decides my time on Earth here is done and he takes me home,” said Carrie, who won the singing competition in 2005.
“So, that will be the day I leave this Earth,” she added.
Lionel Richie also shared his thoughts on Katy’s space adventure.
“My first impression was, ‘Get out the capsule.’ It’s not that anything was going to go wrong. It’s just that I don’t like the phrase, “Never happened before.” So I said, “You go right on girl,”‘ he said.
The 75-year-old crooner added that he doesn’t have plans to follow in Katy’s footsteps.
“I’m having trouble navigating earth and gravity. Just walking straight everyday is a daunting task at the point in my life,” Lionel replied when he was asked if he’d ever go to space himself.
For those unversed, Katy went to space with six other women last month.

There’s literally nothing she isn’t good at!
It’s no secret that Carrie Underwood is a multi-talented individual, and as it turns out, she also brings new life to the concept of multi-tasking. While getting ready for American Idol last night, she shared a behind-the-scenes photo of her glam team at work.
As they primped and prepped her for the show, Underwood took the time to engage her latest hobby, which fans are declaring is, “Carrie in her granny era.”

She recently shared an image of a cute little bag she made, of which she said, “I’m pretty proud!”

One person noted, “Carrie the jack of all trades ❤️,” and another said, “She’s literally good at everything ahhhh!”
Some fans think her hobby only makes her more down-to-earth and relatable, with one saying, “I love that she keeps it real. I like crochet for relaxing.”
