Bunnie Xo Reveals Why She Gave Jelly Roll a Second Chance After Affair, But Would He Get a Third? ‘Absolutely F—ing Not’

You don’t always get a second chance when you mess up. Luckily for Jelly Roll, his wife Bunnie Xo was willing to give him another shot.

On Wednesday (Feb. 25), the model and Dumb Blonde Podcast host appeared as a guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show to talk about her new memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, her first mugshot and the highs and lows of her marriage to the Grammy-winning country star.

During the conversation, Clarkson asked Bunnie about what it was like meeting Jelly Roll and how the couple’s love came to be. Bunnie explained that when they met, she was fresh out of a relationship and not looking for love.

“And then here comes this cute, chubby-cheeked Southern man who just drew me in,” Bunnie said. Bunnie says the country swinger was very different from anyone she’s ever met before and that he “swept me off my feet.” They eloped after being together for only a month.

The beginnings of their marriage were a rocky road. Bunnie says that the duo are very different now than they were back then. She says that at the time, they struggled to navigate being together as people from completely different backgrounds.

“We were both just so hard-headed and stubborn,” she explains before saying there was a lot of toxicity in the beginning of their relationship. She then drops the bomb that Jelly engaged in a nearly yearlong affair. When she found out, she was heartbroken — but used the situation as an opportunity to look inward.

“Instead of looking at him and being like, ‘This is your fault,’ I looked within myself and was like, ‘Why do I keep attracting these types of men?’” Bunnie told Clarkson. Likewise, Jelly also did some soul-searching to better understand his patterns of behavior. Afterward, the duo sought professional help and partook in therapy together.

Bunnie then answered the one question on everyone’s mind: Why didn’t she leave him? “I did,” she said. “I left, and he came and got me.”

She said that she gave him a second chance because she felt like she had received so many in her own life, and she truly believed that he deserved one as well.

“I gave it to him, and it is the best decision I’ve ever made,” she said. But watch out, Jelly Roll: Second chances are your final chances. “Will he get a third? Absolutely f—ing not,” Bunnie said to laughter and applause from the audience.
