Tuesday night saw more TGL action as Tiger Woods‘ Jupiter Links GC took on The Bay Golf Club. While Woods was not present at the arena, 5-time major champion Brooks Koepka was and made a surprising appearance at the SoFi Center.
LIV Golfers usually get a lot of heat from golf fans following their move to the Saudi-backed tour. Koepka was one of the top names of the PGA Tour who left them and joined the newly formed league on a huge contract.
While LIV Golfers are banned from playing on the regular PGA Tour events, the same goes for TGL. In 2023, Jon Rahm was among one of those committed to play in the TGL league of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. However, just before his $600 million move, he withdrew from this competition.
Meanwhile, his future teammate Tyrrell Hatton was originally named in McIlroy’s Boston Common Golf. Following his move to LIV, he was dropped from this event. So stars like Brooks Koepka are not allowed to play in the TGL.
With talks about the merger still going on, the game of golf could be reunified soon. Koepka, a 5-time winner on LIV Golf, is thus turning heads with his surprise appearance.
He along with his wife Jena Sims could be seen mingling with some PGA Tour stars before the match. Check out some of the pictures shared by X account, NUCLR Golf below:

The 34-year-old stunned the fans with a surprise appearance before the event. On X, his appearance brought out some strong reactions.
