Why Brooke Hogan Told Late Dad Hulk Hogan Not to Marry Wife Sky Daily

Brooke Hogan 'At Peace' After Last Conversation With Dad Hulk Following Years-Long Estrangement

Brooke Hogan said she raised concerns to late dad Hulk Hogan about his wife Sky Daily’s ties to the Church of Scientology before their 2023 wedding.

Two years before his death, Hulk Hogan‘s daughter Brooke Hogan had concerns about his wife Sky Daily marrying into the family.

Brooke—who was estranged from her dad when he died on July 24—opened up about their complicated relationship during the wrestler’s final years, revealing that the two didn’t see eye to eye about Sky’s ties to the Church of Scientology.

“She’s still in good standings,” the Brooke Knows Best alum alleged of Sky on the Aug. 5 episode of the Bubba the Love Sponge podcast. “When I brought that up to my dad, he goes, “Well, she just doesn’t want to leave because she still wants her kids to be able to see the grandparents.’”

And while Brooke said she has “no problem with Sky” personally, she was nervous about welcoming the “very powerful backing” of the church into the Hogan clan.

“I was really going to bat for my dad and saying, ‘Hey, you need to be careful,’” Brooke explained, sharing that she had also consulted with Scientology critic Mike Rinder before confronting her father. “‘If you want to date her, cool. Just don’t get married. You don’t have to.’”

According to Brooke, the WWE legend did not take her apprehensions seriously. “He literally said to me when I said, ‘Dad, I’m really concerned,’” she recounted. “He goes, ‘Well, I guess you have to live your life and I have to live mine.’”

The 37-year-old said the last time she heard from Hulk (real name Terry Bollea) was before his September 2023 wedding to Sky, when he left what she described as a “very weird, cryptic” voicemail, saying, “‘Hey, I just wanted to call and say I’m sorry for whatever I did.’”

“I hung up the phone and I looked at [husband Steve Olesky] and I said, ‘He’s going to marry her,’” she recalled. “That’s the last time I talked to my dad.”

Though Brooke said she “loved” Hulk very much, she didn’t want to be a part of his world and “what Mike Render had warned me about” when the American Gladiators host tied the knot with Sky. That’s why she insisted on being written out of his will when they fell out.

“Money didn’t matter,” she noted. “I just said, ‘Take me off everything. I don’t want to be a part of it.’”

Moreover, Brooke—whose mom Linda Hogan was married to Hulk from 1983 to 2009—didn’t want to bicker with family over inheritance. As she put it, “I don’t want to fight Linda. I don’t want to fight Scientology.”

Hulk died from a heart attack at his Florida home, according to documents obtained by Page Six. He was 71.
