Blake Lively and Taylor Swift’s friendship has reportedly hit a rough patch due to Justin Baldoni’s sexual harassment case. Previously, reports suggested that the 35-year-old singer had cut off ties with the “Gossip Girl” star because the latter dragged her into the ongoing legal battle. According to a source, Lively cannot accept that their friendship has ended. She has seemingly been “heartbroken” about the mess affecting Swift.

Blake Lively and Taylor Swift used to be best friends. In fact, Swift is the 37-year-old actor’s daughters’ godmother. But their dynamics turned upside down when the vocalist was dragged into Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal case. The 41-year-old filmmaker accused his “It Ends With Us” co-star of using Swift’s fame to win the battle.

The court even approved his request to dig into the two best friends’ chat messages related to him and the case. As things got out of hand, Swift reportedly took a step back from her friendship with Lively. Recently, a source told RadarOnline that Ryan Reynolds’ wife would not let the soloist cut her off from her inner circle. “[Lively] can’t accept that their friendship has ended and is pleading for an opportunity to make things right,” they said.

The outlet also mentioned that some leaked texts between the two ladies also affected their relationship. Those messages were sent to Baldoni. In it, Lively compared herself to the “Game of Thrones” character Daenerys Targaryen, or Khaleesi, and stated that she also has “a few dragons.” Swift was reportedly hinted to be one of the dragons, which didn’t sit well with the pop star.

Another insider claimed, “Blake insists she never meant to involve Taylor in this. She feels her friendship has been exploited.” They added that the actor treated Swift like her family, and thus, the current situation seems to be “heartbreaking.” Moreover, since the “Lover” hitmaker has kept a distance from Lively, her friends, including Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, have also allegedly cut ties.
