Billy Ray Cyrus Comments On Elizabeth Hurley’s Racy Bathing Suit Pic: “One Of A Kind Young Lady”

It’s been a rough few months for Billy Ray Cyrus, starting with his disastrous performance during President Donald Trump’s inaugural ball back in January. People were concerned for his well-being, and even his son Trace Cyrus released a message begging his father to get help.

Since then things seem to have soured between the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer and his son, with Trace recently calling his adopted father “washed up” and “evil” in a since-deleted Instagram post:

“You’re the lamest man to ever walk planet Earth. Honestly embarrassed to ever have considered you my idol. The best thing to come from your downfall is it made me go into beast mode. I refuse to be a washed up, delusional, evil person when I’m old like you. Christ is King. Get right with God. You need it.”

But it hasn’t all been bad for Billy Ray. Back on Easter weekend, the singer debuted his new relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley a couple months ago. The two seem to be having a good time together, sharing  and…well, he’s dating Elizabeth Hurley, so it can’t all be bad.

Hurley recently celebrated her 60th birthday (not gonna lie, she’s still looking pretty good for 60 years old…lucky guy, that Billy Ray), and in a post to his Instagram, Billy Ray called Hurley the “love of his life.” (Although one of the top comments accused him of “changing the love of his life like he changes his underwear.”)

And yesterday, the actress posed in front of a rainbow for a racy bathing suit photo that she shared to her Instagram, captioning it with the lyrics from the classic song “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.”

“Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true”

It’s surely no coincidence that she chose that song for her caption. Billy Ray recently released his own version of the Judy Garland hit from The Wizard of Oz, teaming up with guitarist Micki Free and producer Buck 22 to benefit the National Museum of African American Music here in Nashville.

I’m gonna be honest, his cover of the song was pretty rough (and by that I mean it was almost unlistenable), but there may have been another reason that he chose to cover that one: In a comment on her post, Billy Ray thanked Hurley for sharing the lyrics to “our song,” calling Hurley a “one of a kind young lady.”

“Thank you for sharing our song in such a sweet… beautiful… and truly wholesome way!!!! You are one of a kind young lady!!! Truly an original.”

(There were also a lot of emojis in there. For some reason Billy Ray types like a middle aged mom caught in a multi-level marketing scheme. Come to think of it he kinda looks like one these days too…)

Regardless, it seems that Billy Ray and Hurley are happy together, despite all of the family drama that he’s dealing with. Most recently, the singer was called out by his adopted son, Trace Cyrus, who accused him of being “hungry for fame” while also calling his dad “a washed up, delusional, evil person” in a since-deleted Instagram post.

I guess it’s not all pots of gold at the end of the rainbow for Billy Ray, but hey, he’s still dating Elizabeth Hurley. That’s gotta help quite a bit.
