Billy Ray Cyrus has made a big demand from the woman who is claiming that she is the biological mother of Miley Cyrus.

The woman, named Jayme Lee, sued the 64-year-old in May, claiming to be the biological mother of the ‘Flowers’ singer.

Lee alleges that she had given birth to the pop star when she was 12 years old and then entered into a ‘private adoption agreement’ with Billy Ray as well as Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus.

In the suit, she also claimed that she’d suffered from ‘severe emotional distress’ and that Billy Ray had ‘misrepresented the circumstances’ around the adoption. Lee further claimed that the alleged agreement stipulated that she would be able to name Miley and work as her piano teacher and nanny.

She made several allegations against Billy Ray, 64, and Tish, 58, in her lawsuit, which was obtained by the Daily Mail. These included ‘breach of contract, fraud and misrepresentation, intentional inflection of emotional distress and unlawful interference with parental rights’.

The ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ singer addressed the allegations and called them ‘false and absurd’. The following month, on November 20, Billy Ray filed a motion of his own, demanding that all of Lee’s claims be dismissed, with the singer’s representation claiming that the claims were ‘clearly brought for the purpose of harassing’ him and his family, as well as ‘needlessly wasting this Court’s time and resources’.

His lawyer added that ‘allegations contained within [Lee’s] Complaint are absurd and ridiculous on their face. As a matter of public record, Miley Cyrus, who is now 32 years old, is the daughter of [Billy Ray and Tish]’.

The musician’s lawyer also argued that state law in Tennessee says that it is ‘not legally permissible’ to adopt a child unless a court order has been obtained for the adoption.

Chase LanCarte, who represented the Hannah Montana star, had previously told the Mail that the case was dismissed on December 5.

Now, Billy Ray has issued a demand for thousands of dollars from Lee in connection with her lawsuit, according to documents shared with Us Weekly.

He filed a request with the court to order Lee to pay him $7,564.13 in legal expenses he incurred to fight the claims made against him.

His attorney had said that Billy Ray was ‘awarded the recovery of his reasonable and necessary attorney’s fees and costs’, but Billy Ray had filed the request after the case had been closed.

Back in October, a judge denied Lee’s request for a trial. She had also requested that a DNA test be carried out on Miley and her parents to establish maternity and paternity.

LanCarte said in a statement to US Weekly: “Now that the Court has dismissed the lawsuit, Mr. Cyrus is focusing his attention on the upcoming Christmas holiday to spend time with family and friends.”
