It feels like just yesterday, Billy Ray Cyrus was getting divorced from Tish Cyrus, his wife of 30 years. Now, after complicated breakups and legal disputes involving singer/songwriter Firerose, it appears that Cyrus is finally in a happy relationship again. This time, with actress Elizabeth Hurley. According to People, after 6 months together, the couple is “going strong,” and couldn’t be happier.

A source close to the couple shared how the pair’s differences are actually what make them such a perfect fit. “They’re very different, but it works. They’re so cute together,” the source shared. “It’s the kind of connection that surprises people but makes perfect sense when you spend time with them. Liz’s very happy.”

While the couple originally met on the set of the Christmas movie “Christmas in Paradise”, they didn’t rekindle the spark between them until years later. Billy Ray had just gotten a divorce from Firerose in 2024, and Hurley wanted to make sure he was okay. It didn’t take long for a friendship to turn into something more. The actress and country singer made their relationship official on Instagram in Easter of 2025.

“They’ve been together for more than six months now. Despite the skepticism, it was always real from the beginning. And they’re going strong,” the source shared.

Billy Ray Cyrus Shares “It’s Been a Long Time Since I’ve Been This Happy”

In a recent interview, Elizabeth Hurley squealed “like a lovestruck teenager” when talking about her boyfriend, Billy Ray. She spoke about Billy’s love for her home in England, which he visits from time to time.

“Obviously, he loves England,” she shared. “The weather is nicer here in the summer than it is in Tennessee. He lives 40 minutes outside of Nashville. It’s so beautiful. Funnily enough, it actually looks a lot like England. Probably the equivalent of Surrey.”  Hurley also shared that when it comes to their families, “everyone loves everyone.” She spoke of her son, Damian, who’s 23. “Damian and Miley [Cyrus] have met, Billy’s kids are great and Billy has spent a lot of time with Damian.”

In an interview with People, Cyrus also shared of his fondness for Elizabeth and her son. “It’s just been beautiful,” he said, “and again, no expectations of where we go from here other than her and her son — I do love him a lot, and it’s great that God brought them into my life when he did. It’s just a good thing. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy.”
