Benjamin Tod Says Gavin Adcock “Cannot Represent Country Music” in New Video
Benjamin Tod also went on to call Gavin Adcock “an entitled little brat” in another clip he posted on social media this week.

It looks like Gavin Adcock has another feud on his hands, and this time it’s with Benjamin Tod.
We reported last week that Tod shared his thoughts about the current state of country music. While he didn’t mention anyone by name, the member of the Lost Dog Street Band did call out “white boys with mullets” who “sing about evading domestic abuse charges and DUI charges regularly.”
“It’s disrespectful, and it’s all due to the fact that people don’t know country music history. Now, you can call me pretentious or an a**hole for that,” Tod said.
He later added, “I’m pretentious about freight trains, 12-valve engines, and country music because I f*****g know the material. Plain and simple.”
Adcock has since fired back, and it looks like a new war of words has begun.
What Did Gavin Adcock Say?
On a clip from the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast from Nov. 4, Tod spoke about performers who grew up on TikTok and don’t have a “real grassroots understanding” of country. He added they “didn’t fight for a decade and pay their dues and eat s*** at dive bars for a pitcher of beer and $75 for playing three hours for years.”
Nowhere in the episode does Tod call out Adcock, but that didn’t stop the “Own Worst Enemy” from doing what he does best: trolling.
“If you played for $75 for years and years, you need a new job,” he said in the comments.
Well, that was enough for Tod to call out Adcock.
Benjamin Tod Goes Off
In the new clip Tod posted on social media, Tod responded to Adcock’s comment. Captioned “who needs to jump a fence when you’re a hand grenade?” Tod speaks calmly, but holds nothing back.
Pointing to a screenshot of Adcock’s comment, Tod begins by saying, “The reason why it’s so wonderful is that it’s completely emblematic of why people like Gavin Adcock cannot represent country music. You have no idea how many people you s*** on with this comment.”
“You know how many years Willie Nelson burned up the road?” continues Tod. “Don’t get me started with The Louvin Brothers, Waylon, Johnny, everyone, and 95% of our industry, you just insulted. Because it shows this clear divide where you have no f*****g concept of the relationship between talent and success, and the inequalities that exist throughout this industry that lend like someone like you getting power easily.
“Second, it shows that you are an entitled little brat. You have no concept of hard work. You have no concept of what it took for the majority of us to get here. It is absolutely pathetic in my eyes. You insulted everyone, and you openly make the case that you don’t appreciate or understand the hard work that artists like me, and 95 percent of the industry who worked in that capacity for years and years and years to get where they are, because you got it handed to you, just like you got handed your daddy’s truck…”
Tod concludes with what seems like a challenge, “You are a lazy, stupid, shiftless motherf****r … That cross on your hand ain’t gonna save you from selling your soul to the devil to get where you are. You don’t represent Christians, and you don’t represent country music. I’ll see you at Stagecoach motherf****r.”
Stagecoach 2026 begins on April 24, but we have a feeling this won’t be the last we’ll be hearing from Adcock and Tod. Here’s hoping Tod doesn’t rip his jeans should he have to climb any fences to speak to his new rival.
