Recently, the account X Freeze, who calls himself “the Grok guide”, called on Apple to cooperate with xAI to replace the “outdated assistant” (referring to Siri) with Grok. This immediately attracted the attention of Elon Musk when he responded briefly: “I agree”, showing support for this idea.
The post quickly garnered tens of millions of views, with many commenting that the iPhone would be more appealing if it had Grok or even Starlink connectivity, with some users claiming they would consider switching back to iPhone if that happened.

However, the possibility of Apple collaborating with xAI is still very low. On the contrary, Google is the most likely partner to participate in the Siri upgrade process. According to recent information, Apple is in the final stages of an agreement to use the Gemini model to support Siri’s briefing and planning. The deal, said to be worth about $1 billion per year, is expected to start rolling out on iOS 26.4 next spring.
To ensure the safety of user data, Apple is said to operate the Gemini -based system on its own server infrastructure, keeping user data separate from Google.
If the Apple-Gemini partnership news is true, Siri will be overhauled with AI technology from Google instead of xAI, even if Elon Musk receives a lot of support from the community.
