Before marrying Miranda Lambert, Brendan McLoughlin was allegedly dating a woman named Jackie Bruno.

On February 19, 2019, less than a month after Lambert and McLoughlin tied the knot, Bruno’s mother, Carol revealed her daughter was “blindsided” by his infidelity.

“She was engaged to Brendan and he cheated on her and got another girl pregnant,” Carol told Us Weekly.

“It’s all true,” she said, adding: “she was thrown for a loop, she had no clue.”

McLoughlin, now a retired NYPD officer, welcomed a baby boy named Landon with Kaihla Rettinger in November 2018, just days after meeting Lambert for the first time on Good Morning America.

Carol also revealed that it was Rettinger who broke the news to her daughter.

“The girl contacted her. Jackie was in Sweden playing professional soccer, got injured and came home and the girl contacted her. She broke the news to her,” Carol added.

“[Brendan] tried to deny it and then begged her to stay with him,” she continued.

“She was only going for a few months to play, he was begging her to marry him before she left, even though he knew the girl was pregnant.”

SETTLING DOWN

Lambert didn’t seem to be too concerned with McLoughlin becoming a father just days after the two met.

“I was like ‘Hey, I got the dogs, you got the kid, we can mix and mingle,’” she told Extra in June 2019.

“My stepson [Landon] is amazing,” Miranda said, adding “it’s great” to be around him.

“I’m loving that whole phase, and I’ve raised a million dogs, so I feel like I’ve got that part of my womanly/motherly thing is full, so this is a whole new journey.”

Rettinger, Landon’s mother, has never publicly commented on Lambert and McLoughlin’s relationship.

HEART LIKE MINE

During a July 2023 performance at her Las Vegas residency, Velvet Rodeo, Lambert called out a group of fans for taking a selfie during her song, Tin Man.

“These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song,” Lambert told the crowd, after pausing her performance.

“It’s pissing me off a little bit. Sorry, I don’t like it. At all.”

“We’re here to hear some country music tonight,” she said, adding: I’m singing some country damn music,” before motioning the group to sit down.

“It felt like I was back at school with the teacher scolding me for doing something wrong and telling me to sit down back in my place,” one of the concertgoers, Adela Calin, told NBC News.

“I feel like she was determined to make us look like we were young, immature and vain.”

“But we were just grown women in our 30s to 60s trying to take a picture,” she added.

Though the incident didn’t directly involve McLoughlin, Lambert may have had him on her mind.

Multiple sources online have said that McLoughlin reportedly “regularly” cheats on Lambert.

There have been sightings of him bar-hopping in the Nashville entertainment district, hitting on and getting flirty with mystery women.

One social media user reportedly even knows about McLoughlin’s alleged wandering eye.

“My boyfriend used to work with him before nypd, said he was always a ladies man,” the source wrote.

“Had a new chick every week. I just sent this to him, we’re having a laugh about it,” they added.

BRING ME DOWN

While Lambert has had cheating allegations of her own in the past, it seems like McLoughlin has taken the reigns on scandal-maker in the duo’s marriage.

In May 2024, the U.S. Sun reported that McLoughlin was becoming a regular at his wife’s Nashville bar, Casa Rosa, with and without his wife.

The former cop is reportedly “missing city life,” despite splitting time between his former home in Staten Island and Lambert’s Nashville home.

“Miranda comes and throws parties, [but] she used to come in more,” a source at Casa Rosa exclusively told The U.S. Sun.

“Her husband comes a lot just to hang out,” the source added.

Just a week after it was reported that McLoughlin misses his old life, Lambert opened up about the couple’s relationship in an exclusive interview with People.

“It’s communication,” she answered when asked if she had any rules in her relationship.

“We just talk it out, whatever it is, we talk about everything,” she continued.
