First of all, the president said yesterday, I believe within three or four days, that he wants to hear an answer from Hamas. Is he still sticking to that timeline? Yes, as I just confirmed.

And then, uh, the second question is a comment that has garnered a lot of global attention. Uh, Senator, uh, Dick Durban, he, uh, was supposed to receive a lifetime achievement award from the Catholic Church. He declined the award because there was some controversy.

Pope Leo, uh, commented on this and he said that someone said I oppose abortion but I agree with the inhumane treatment of immigrants in the United States.

I don’t know if that’s pro-life or not. You’ve been very open about your Catholic faith. How would you respond to that?

I would reject the notion that there has been inhumane treatment of undocumented immigrants in the United States under this administration.

However, there has been significant inhumane treatment of undocumented immigrants under previous administrations, with them being trafficked, raped, beaten, and in many cases murdered along the southern border of the United States.

You should also look at the inhumane treatment at the hands of some of these undocumented immigrants under previous administrations. The case of Lake and Riley is one example; a beautiful American citizen was murdered at the hands of an undocumented immigrant.

Therefore, this administration is trying to enforce our nation’s laws in the most humane way possible.

So this administration is trying to enforce national laws as humanely as possible. And we are upholding the law, and we do it on behalf of the people of our country who live here.
