The “Cat Scratch Fever” singer frantically called out Trump haters during a freewheeling New Year’s Day appearance on right-wing cable.
Rocker Ted Nugent tore into a list of anti-Trump music-makers during a rambling New Year’s Day rant on right-wing cable network Real America’s Voice.
Starting 2026 hot, the “Cat Scratch Fever” singer, MAGA devotee and Real America’s Voice regular attacked The White Stripes’ frontman Jack White, rapper Eminem, pop-punk pioneers Green Day, and Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello with a baffling mix of insults, musical praise, baseless political claims and random guitar riffs.
Here are some highlights from the 12-minute TV spot, which Nugent shared to his YouTube channel:

Jack White and Eminem
Nugent applauded White’s joint performance with Eminem during the Detroit Lions’ Thanksgiving game against the Green Bay Packers, saying he “delivered real rock and roll” that sounded like “real Detroit piss and vinegar.”
But barely a breath later, he labeled the fellow Detroit natives “total idiots.”
“They don’t want their country to have secure borders. They think men should destroy women’s sports. Well, that’s not… that’s exactly what they stand for,” Nugent claimed.
Though both artists have taken aim at President Donald Trump, neither White nor Eminem have voiced specific stances on transgender athletes. White did call out Trump for his “gestapo ICE tactics” and history of “racist remarks” in an Instagram post last summer. The rapper born Marshall Mathers has been mostly mum on the issue of immigration, however.
“They think we should invite jihadists in who announce they want to kill the infidels,” Nugent added hysterically. “They announce they want to kill Americans. And Jack White and Eminem say, ‘Yeah, bring them in. Bring those guys in.’ Freaks, idiots.”

Green Day
Appearing to pull from the president’s signature stream of consciousness style, Nugent abruptly changed the topic to the band Green Day.
“Green Day, there’s not a brain amongst them, I don’t think,” he said of the group, whose core lineup consists of singer, guitarist and longtime GOP critic Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool.
“But man, can they play really, really killer stuff.”
Tom Morello
Next on Nugent’s hit list was Rage Against The Machine guitarist and avowed anticapitalist, Tom Morello.
While Morello once described the “Wango Tango” wild-man as a “good friend” whose “libertarian edge” sometimes lined up with his own “anarchist” inklings, Nugent couldn’t even get his name right.

“Tom Morello, is that his name? Tom Morel?” he asked before accusing the guitarist and activist of being a phony who is part of “the machine.”
“Come on Tom, you got to know that,” Nugent said. “You’re not raging against the machine. You are the machine.”
Rounding things out with some more unfounded opinions about everyone he mentioned, Nugent told Real America’s Voice, “They don’t believe that America should have secure borders, which means they don’t believe in America. Which means they want to have a great successful [sic] like in America, but they don’t think you should be able to have one.”
Ted’s Take
A fan of the president since the start of his political career, Nugent has played at multiple Trump rallies and was also a personal guest of the White House back in April 2017.
Last May, he told Michigan-based news outlet MLive that he sees Trump as America’s “savior from the depth of corrupt cruelty perpetrated by our government.”
