Bruce Springsteen has once again spoken out against Donald Trump, this time calling for the former president’s removal through the 25th Amendment.
In a candid interview with Time, the legendary singer-songwriter explained why he refuses to stay silent about Trump’s impact on American politics.
Springsteen: “I Can’t Give These Guys a Free Pass”
“If I’m going to stay true to who I’ve tried to be… I can’t give these guys a free pass,” Springsteen said.
The Born to Run rocker accused Trump of betraying the very voters he claimed to represent:

“A lot of people bought into his lies… He doesn’t care about the forgotten anybody but himself and the multibillionaires who stood behind him on Inauguration Day.”
According to Springsteen, the troubling part is not just Trump himself but the fact that “a good number of Americans are simply comfortable with his politics of power and dominance.”
No Concern Over Trump’s Opinion
Springsteen made it clear that he isn’t worried about how Trump views him.
“I absolutely couldn’t care less what he thinks about me,” he said.
The 74-year-old rock legend has long used his platform to advocate for working-class Americans, civil rights, and political accountability. His sharp comments reinforce his reputation as one of music’s most outspoken voices.
“Personification of the 25th Amendment”
Springsteen went even further, claiming that Trump embodies the very reason mechanisms like the 25th Amendment and impeachment exist:
“He’s the living personification of what the 25th Amendment and impeachment were for. If Congress had any guts, he’d be consigned to the trash heap of history.”
The Boss vs. Trump: A Longstanding Feud
Springsteen’s criticism of Trump is nothing new. Over the past several years, he has consistently spoken out against the former president’s policies and rhetoric, often framing them as divisive and harmful to American democracy.
Still, his latest comments mark one of his most direct calls for Trump’s political removal.
Final Thoughts
Bruce Springsteen has never shied away from politics, and his latest remarks underline his belief that Trump represents a danger to the country’s values. Whether or not Congress will ever act in the way Springsteen suggests remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: The Boss isn’t backing down.
