Amidst numerous rumors about Real Madrid potentially selling Eduardo Camavinga to Liverpool, along with a shocking report from France, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has officially spoken out to clarify the situation.

Liverpool’s interest in Camavinga began when he played for Rennes. Although this admiration seemed to have reached a dead end at one point, reliable sources such as journalist Matteo Morreto recently confirmed that the French midfielder could leave Bernabeu. Notably, the reported price is only slightly over €50 million (£44 million). Earlier this week, L’Equipe added another bombshell by claiming Los Blancos have opened the door for the player to leave at the end of the season.

In response to this uproar, Fabrizio Romano offered a comprehensive assessment on his personal YouTube channel. He explained: “We need to remember that Camavinga is a very important player. He may have gone through some difficult times, like the game against Mallorca, but he is absolutely not excluded from Real Madrid’s plans. They don’t consider Camavinga a player to be sold at any cost.”

However, Romano also left open an exception: “But… if they receive an attractive offer, Real Madrid might consider his situation in the summer. Of course, if there isn’t a really big offer, they won’t give up either.”

Regarding potential destinations, Romano quickly dismissed any links with PSG, while revealing that “several” Premier League clubs had started calling to inquire since the end of February. Given their long history of pursuing him, it’s not hard to see that Liverpool is one of them.

However, this deal comes with a prerequisite: Camavinga will only consider clubs that qualify for the Champions League. Currently, Arne Slot’s team is ranked 5th in the Premier League – a position that qualifies them. But to maintain this qualification, they cannot afford to repeat the poor performances against Manchester City last weekend. Otherwise, Liverpool will have to settle for playing in the Europa League or Conference League, and the prospect of acquiring Camavinga will officially end.
