To understand the magnitude of this success, we need to go back in time. Isabel Diaz Ayuso, re-elected as mayor in 2023, was one of the most controversial figures in Spanish politics.

Her outspoken style, sharp criticism of the central government, and defense of economic liberalism have attracted both supporters and detractors. The sanctions, 2025 ha sido, proved to be a particularly turbulent year for her.
