Kid Rock Says TPUSA’s “All-American Halftime Show” Is for Fans Who Love Football, Faith, and Country
Kid Rock says the upcoming alternative Super Bowl halftime performance hosted by Turning Point USA is meant to celebrate faith, football, and American pride.
The rocker is set to headline the organization’s “All-American Halftime Show” on February 8, offering a separate entertainment option during the championship game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.
“A Show for People Who Love America”
In a recent conversation with conservative commentator Benny Johnson, Kid Rock emphasized that the event is not rooted in division, but in shared values.
“One thing important that I would like to get out there and say to everyone is that, I think I speak for us all at Turning Point USA, the other artists that are performing, when I say that in no way, shape or form — don’t let the left twist this around — like, in no way are we approaching this with any hate in our hearts,” he said.
According to the singer, the performance is simply about connecting with fans who feel represented by the message.
“We’re simply going to go play some great songs, like I’ve said, for our base — people who love football, love America, love good music, love Jesus. It’s pretty much that simple,” he added.
Kid Rock also argued that many entertainers feel pressure within the broader entertainment industry.
“Hollywood and coastal elites control the entertainment business. A lot of artists are scared,” he said, describing the event as a “David versus Goliath” moment.
TPUSA Announces Lineup
Turning Point USA first announced plans for the alternative halftime show in October, branding it as an “All-American Halftime Show.” The event is scheduled to take place during the same time slot as the official Super Bowl halftime performance.
Joining Kid Rock on stage will be country-rock artist Brantley Gilbert, along with country singers Gabby Barrett and Lee Brice. Organizers say the lineup reflects a mix of artists whose music resonates strongly with their audience.
Competing Against the Official Halftime Show
The alternative show will run concurrently with the official Super Bowl halftime performance headlined by Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny.
Bad Bunny has faced criticism from some conservative voices in recent weeks after comments regarding U.S. immigration enforcement policies and statements suggesting he would perform the halftime show entirely in Spanish. Supporters, meanwhile, have praised his cultural pride and global influence.
The parallel events have sparked conversation online, highlighting the broader cultural debates that often surround major national events like the Super Bowl.
A Cultural Moment Beyond the Game
As the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots prepare to face off on the field, the halftime programming — both official and alternative — has become part of a larger national dialogue about entertainment, identity, and representation.
For Kid Rock and Turning Point USA, the message is straightforward: they see their event as a celebration of music, faith, and patriotism. Whether fans choose the traditional halftime spectacle or the alternative “All-American” show, the evening promises to be one filled with both football and cultural conversation.

Just moments ago in Los Angeles, the room dimmed and the screen lit up with Elvis Presley in Las Vegas, the 1970s alive again. Restored. Breathing. Riley Keough sat still. Her face said everything before she ever spoke. Pride. Then memory. Then something heavier, held tight behind her eyes.
