Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk: “When Mourinho came here, he started to talk a lot. He tried a lot of things, but in the end, we were better than him. I was better than him.
We beat them twice in their stadium. This year, he won’t be here, unfortunately. We were waiting for two more games against him
Galatasaray’s head coach Okan Buruk commented on Jose Mourinho’s performance in the Turkish Super League as the former coach of Fenerbahçe.
“When Mourinho came here, he started talking a lot. He tried a lot, but in the end, we were better than him. I was better than him. We beat them twice in their own stadium. Unfortunately, he won’t be here this year. Mourinho is not focusing as before, he is not thinking about football as before. He is not changing his coaching style either. He is a really important figure, he has a really strong charisma, but from a football point of view, we have to improve every year. Maybe his problem is that he is not improving as a coach,” said Buruk.
Currently, the Portuguese specialist is the head coach of Benfica.
