Salah has come under sharp criticism this season for below-par performances after extending his contract at the end of last season.

The ‘Egyptian King’ has always been a leading light in whatever the Reds do upfront, but has found the going difficult this season.

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot dropped him from the starting XI in their Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.

The Premier League defending champions walked into that game on the back of a four-match losing streak.

Salah was introduced in the 74th minute and failed to inspire once again. He was particularly slammed for failing to play in his teammate Florian Wirtz, who appeared to be in a better position.

Salah deletes Liverpool from X profile

After the game, Salah rearranged his X profile, deleting all Liverpool references. The former AS Roma man used to have a Liverpool image in the profile pic and header, but that has been changed to a photo of him and his kids, with the header remaining blank.
