Madonna is making a grand reentrance.

The queen of pop, 67, will officially return in 2026 with a new dance album, Rolling Stone reported on Thursday, September 18.

Added to that, she is reuniting with Warner Records — her previous label that helped shoot her to stardom.

The new studio production is expected to be a follow-up to her album that’s currently celebrating a 20-year milestone: Confessions on a Dancefloor. Next year’s album will mark her first since 2019’s Madame X.

“From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles, it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again and in fact that couldn’t have been truer,” Madonna said in a statement via Rolling Stone. “Since the beginning, Warner Records has been a real partner with me. I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations.”

Madonna signed her first label deal in 1982 with the Warner subsidiary Sire Records, as the magazine noted. While under the label’s umbrella, she released Like a Virgin (1985), Like a Prayer (1989) and Ray of Light (1998).

Madonna’s deal with Warner ended with Hard Candy in 2008. From there, Interscope Records has released MDNA (2012), Rebel Heart (2015) and Madame X (2019).

Earlier this month, award-winning actress Julia Garnerconfirmed to W Magazine that she is set to play Madonna in an upcoming biopic.

“I can’t say too much about it, but yes, it’s a work in progress,” confirmed the Weapons actress, 31.

In January 2023, it was reported that the biopic at Universal Pictures was scrapped. Madonna was set to direct the limited series about her life and career, and the script was going to be written by Diablo Cody and Erin Cressida Wilson. But a year and a half later, in July 2024, Madonna teased that she was working on the script again.
