Could Jurgen Klopp really return to Liverpool after former boss drops hint?
Despite it only being October, the Reds’ title defence looks all but over after losing their fourth league game in a row, with questions starting to be asked.
Arne Slot will certainly be feeling the pressure, with this run of form not something he has experienced since he joined last summer.
His decision making has come under fire and there are even some fans saying he could get the sack, with the only name many fans would want instead being former boss Klopp.
The German has also dropped a hint that he could return one day, with this begging the question: Could Jurgen Klopp return to Liverpool?

Jurgen Klopp has already hinted that he could return to Liverpool
It seems baffling to be even questioning whether Slot could get sacked in the near future, so soon after helping Liverpool win the Premier League title, but that is, unfortunately, the reality right now.
Performances simply have not been good enough, but the worrying thing is that they do not even look like improving either, with the Dutchman looking short of answers.
This has led to the chat of someone like Klopp even coming back to take over, even if this seems out of the realms of possibility.
However, it was only recently that Klopp dropped a hint that he could return, with this getting more likely as the games go by.
“I said I will never coach a different team in England so that means, if [I did return], then it’s Liverpool,” he said on the Diary of a CEO Podcast.
“So, yeah, theoretically it is possible.”
When Slot first arrived he made Klopp’s team a more controlled one, but this season that has gone out of the window.
Returning would certainly be one of the biggest moves to happen in quite some time, but stranger things in football have happened.
Jurgen Klopp would love this Liverpool team
Whether Klopp coming in would solve anything is one issue, but if one thing is for sure, he would love to coach the players currently at the club.
Throughout his tenure, he never really spent massive amounts of money, so players like Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak would make returning an even more exciting proposition.
The main problem, however, is defensively, with Klopp’s attacking football perhaps not suited to what is happening at the club right now.
Slot will still have a fair bit of time to prove himself as he already has credit in the bank, but if he does go, could it genuinely be Klopp who takes over?
