This year’s Super Bowl Sunday will feature more than just a fierce battle on the football field — there will also be two halftime shows in competition.

Turning Point USA, the right-wing conservative political organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk, announced the lineup for its inaugural All American Halftime Show on Monday, February 2.

The show, meant to offer counter programming to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show, is headlined by Kid Rock and will feature performances from country singers Lee BriceBrantley Gilbert and Gabby Barrett.

“We plan to play great songs for folks who love America,” Kid Rock, 55, said in a statement on Monday. “We’re approaching this show like David and Goliath. Competing with the pro football machine and a global pop superstar is almost impossible … or is it?”

Kid Rock then addressed Bad Bunny directly, whose selection as Super Bowl halftime entertainer has been a thorn in the side of his mostly conservative Republican critics for his decision to perform his award-winning music in Spanish.

“He’s said he’s having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool. We plan to play great songs for folks who love America,” Kid Rock said.

Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet said on Monday that the halftime show is “an opportunity for all Americans to enjoy a halftime show with no agenda other than to celebrate faith, family, and freedom.” (The organization’s official mission statement is to “identify, educate, train and organize students to promote principles of freedom, free markets and limited government.”)

“We set out to provide an entertainment option that will be fun, excellent, and exciting for the entire family while millions are gathered together for the big game,” Kolvet continued. “These performers will deliver exactly that, and we can’t wait to watch the incredible show they’re about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too.”

Kid Rock (real name Bob Ritchie) has not shied away from professing his conservative political beliefs in recent years, aligning himself and appearing with President Donald Trump on multiple occasions.

The All American Halftime Show will be streamed on Turning Point USA social media channels, including YouTube, X and Rumble. In addition to social media, the show will air on partner platforms, including Daily Wire+, Real America’s Voice, TBN, CHARGE!, The National News Desk, NTD.com,and OAN News.

Turning Point USA has not announced a location or specific time for the show, or if fans will be able to attend in person.

Bad Bunny’s selection as Super Bowl halftime performer has proven divisive, with nearly half of the NFL players polled in a recent survey by The Athletic saying they weren’t fans of the Puerto Rican rapper.

“I don’t even know who Bad Bunny is,” an anonymous offensive NFC player said. “I always think it should be an American. I think they’re trying too hard with this international stuff.”

Contrary to the player’s stance, Bad Bunny is an American citizen  born in Puerto Rico, an unincorporated territory of the United States.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold, whose team plays the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 60, professed the opposing viewpoint.

“It’s unbelievable,” Darnold, 28, said at Super Bowl Opening Night on Monday, February 2. “I love his music. It’s great to have him perform at the Super Bowl.”

He added, “I wish that I could see it. But I’m afraid I’ll be getting ready for the second half at that moment. But I know a lot of people are excited about him performing.”
