Former John Corabi has addressed ongoing speculation about a possible return to Mötley Crüe. However, he made his stance clear—he has no interest in stepping back into the band, even if it meant replacing Vince Neil.
The comments came during an appearance on The Rock N’ Roll & Coffee Show.
“Nope. Not going to happen.”
Corabi did not leave any room for interpretation when asked about a potential return.
“I still get asked like, ‘Hey, would you go back to Mötley Crüe?’ Nope. Not going to happen. No, not interested,” Corabi said.
With that response, he firmly shut down speculation that has followed him for years.
Lessons from past band experiences
Corabi reflected on his time with The Dead Daisies, explaining how stepping into an existing lineup can be challenging.
“Even with the Daisies, like I started with the Daisies in 2015. I didn’t know anything about John Stevens… I knew some of the players and I’m like, okay, yeah, cool.”
He described how he joined the band without fully understanding its history.
“I went and I did a show in Cuba with them and then they asked me to do the record and I go, ‘Okay.’ Not knowing anything about the original singer.”
The pressure of replacing another singer
Corabi also explained why he no longer feels comfortable stepping into roles previously held by other vocalists.
Drawing from his experience with The Dead Daisies, he highlighted the pressure involved.
“Even when I left and they asked me to come back I was like f*ck… Glenn Hughes, I was nervous about going back and replacing Glenn. That’s some big shoes to fill, too.”
He made it clear that these experiences shaped his current mindset.
“I don’t want to deal with the drama”
At this stage of his life, Corabi is focused on avoiding complications.
“I don’t like anymore at this point. I’m just kind of at a point in my life where it’s like, you know what? I’m 66 years old. I don’t want to deal with the drama.”
Instead, he wants to focus on his own path.
“I just want to make at some point I would like to write my own path and be my own guy and just do my thing.”
Closing the door on a return
Corabi’s comments effectively end any speculation about him rejoining Mötley Crüe.
While fans may continue to debate “what if” scenarios, the singer has made it clear that chapter is firmly closed.
For him, the priority now is independence, creativity, and staying away from the pressures that come with revisiting the past.
