In the summer of 2024, something exciting started brewing in the rock world. Joe Perry, the legendary Aerosmith guitarist, teamed up with Yungblud, the young UK rocker who has been shaking up modern music. What began as a casual studio session turned into a full creative project that surprised both artists — and their fans.

The two first connected during the summer for an experimental session, just to see how their styles might blend. To their surprise, the chemistry was immediate. They kept writing, recording, and building ideas. Before long, small plans grew into something much bigger.

Later, they performed together on stage at the MTV VMAs, joining forces with guitarist Nuno Bettencourt and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler. The performance was a special tribute to the late metal icon Ozzy Osbourne, and it became one of the standout moments of the night. The combination of rock legends and new-generation energy made the performance unforgettable.

After months of creativity, their project One More Time was released this November. The EP includes five tracks, one of which is a brand-new 2025 remix of Aerosmith’s classic song “Back in the Saddle.” This remix brings old-school rock into today’s sound, mixing nostalgia with a modern twist.

Joe Perry shared that working with Yungblud was inspiring. He explained that Yungblud’s energy and talent pushed everyone creatively. “This guy’s got the pipes,” Perry said, recalling how impressed he was after hearing Yungblud’s live performances. According to him, they didn’t plan to make a full project — it just happened naturally. But once it started, things got busy fast. With photoshoots, rehearsals, and promotion happening nonstop, Perry described the last few months as “three months of insanity.”

Even though the collaboration wasn’t planned, Perry is proud of what they created. When asked if there might be more music from the pair in the future, he stayed mysterious. He said that even if this was their last project together, he’d be happy — but also added, “I’m not retired yet. Steven doesn’t think he’s retired. Who knows? We’ve still got some juice left!”

However, fans recently received unexpected news. Yungblud announced that he has canceled the rest of his 2025 tour dates due to health reasons. This includes shows in Latin America and several major cities in the U.S., such as Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Washington, D.C. The cancellation was disappointing for fans, but health always comes first.

Despite the pause in touring, the release of One More Time gives listeners something exciting to enjoy. With emotional vocals, powerful  guitars, and a mix of modern and classic rock, this collaboration shows how two generations of artists can come together and create something fresh.

Whether or not Yungblud and Perry work together again, this project stands as a unique moment where rock legends and new voices collided — and made something unforgettable.
