Will Smith son Jaden Smith finaly weigh in on the lnfamous Oscars sIap. He tweeted:
“My dad, Will Smith, stood up to a buIIy Chris Rock for making fun of my mom, Jada Pinkett Smith. The world may have turned on him, but I was proud. He taught me to always defend my woman, no matter how big the stage. He’ll always be my hero for giving Chris Rock that hot sIap in front of the entire world.”
Chris Rock saw Jaden’s post and clapped back:
“We all know your mom doesn’t have aIopecia — she shav*d her head because she misses 2Pac. What’s even sadd£r is your dad couldn’t sIap you hard enough to give you a sense of fashion.”
Jaden Smith tweeted in apparent support of his dad, Will Smith, who slapped comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars.
Smith interrupted Rock’s monologue on Sunday night, hitting him in the face in response to a joke Rock made about Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith’s wife and Jaden Smith’s mom.
Jaden Smith, the couple’s 23-year-old son, tweeted: “And That’s How We Do It.”
It’s not clear where Jaden was during the ceremony.
Rock was presenting the award for best documentary feature when he made several jokes, including a joke in reference to Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head. Pinkett Smith has alopecia, a hair-loss condition, and has been open about struggling with it.
“Can’t wait for ‘G.I. Jane 2,’” Rock said. In the 1997 movie “G.I. Jane,” star Demi Moore shaves her head bald. Pinkett Smith has been public about having alopecia, a condition that causes hair loss. In 2018, she released an Instagram video detailing the condition.
“Look at this line right here,” Pinkett Smith said in the Instagram video. “Now this is going to be a little bit more difficult for me to hide, so I thought I’d just share it so y’all not asking any questions — but you know, mama’s going to put some rhinestones in there, and I’m going to make me a little crown.”
After hitting Rock, Will Smith walked back to his chair, sat next to his wife, and yelled back to Rock: “Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth!”
Insider contacted both Smith and Rock’s reps but didn’t get an immediate response.
Following the incident, fellow actors came to console Smith, including Denzel Washington, Tyler Perry, and Bradley Cooper. Later in the evening, Will Smith picked up the best actor Oscar for his role in “King Richard.”

During his acceptance speech later in the evening for best actor, Smith said Washington told him: “At your highest moment, be careful. That’s when the devil comes for you.” Smith also apologized to the Academy and his fellow nominees during his speech.
“Art imitates life, I look like the crazy father,” Smith also said during his acceptance speech, seemingly referring to hitting Rock. “But love will make you do crazy things.”
At the end of his speech, Smith joked about hoping the Academy would invite him back next year.
The LAPD said that Rock declined to file a police report over the slap.
