Jack Blades has sparked new hope for a Damn Yankees reunion, responding directly to Ted Nugent’s recent comments during an episode of Nugent’s Spirit Campfire show on Real America’s Voice.
The conversation, lighthearted yet revealing, revolved around the long-speculated possibility of the iconic rock supergroup reuniting. While Nugent remained cryptic, Blades added fuel to the fire with a subtle but exciting proposal.
“You know, everybody thinks that we’re gonna do a Damn Yankees reunion,” Nugent teased. “So let’s not kibosh that. Maybe. Who knows, maybe.”
🎤 Blades Opens the Door to Revisiting Damn Yankees Songs
Jack Blades, who also fronts Night Ranger, responded with a more grounded and fan-pleasing comment:

“We’ll jam some Night Ranger songs with you on the September 6th show,” he said. “So, let’s play a couple [Damn Yankees songs].”
This exchange came ahead of their planned appearance together at a September 6th military fundraiser concert, where the two rock veterans are set to share the stage. While there’s no official announcement of a full-scale Damn Yankees reunion, fans now have a renewed sense of optimism.
🔥 Could a Full Damn Yankees Comeback Be Next?
Blades and Nugent, along with drummer Michael Cartellone and Styx’s Tommy Shaw, formed Damn Yankees in the early ‘90s. Their self-titled debut and hits like “High Enough” and “Coming of Age” dominated rock radio, cementing the band as one of the era’s standout supergroups.

Though a full reunion is still up in the air, this recent interaction — combined with their upcoming performance — offers fans a glimpse of what might be possible.
