However, he did acknowledge that he would not feel as threatened as a woman in such situations. Sharing his own experience with catcalling, he shared that although he is not bothered by such comments, he does not find them pleasing when he is with his girlfriend.

“I don’t mind it unless I’m with my girlfriend and someone is being complimentary to me in order to disrespect her,” he told the outlet. In addition to being subjected to such comments in public, The Witcher star has also shared his discomfort with unnecessary shirtless scenes in movies or shows.

Along with his venture into DC movies and Netflix’s The Witcher, Henry Cavill also gained recognition for the historical drama series The Tudors. When asked if he felt uncomfortable doing shirtless scenes in the show in an interview on Elle, he shared, “Are you kidding me? I had to start telling the producers, “Stop making me take my clothes off.”

He further explained how his character’s development in the show did not affect him going shirtless in scenes, stating, “My character has changed. He’s a morose, depressed dude.” However, the producers insisted on incorporating such scenes, saying that “people love it.”
